Entering the Holiday Classic as a U9 team, PK Elite competed against Red Circle White, Vipers, and Wolves in the round robin. For a young program, the weekend was more about just wins it was about setting the standard.
Strong Start

Facing Adversity
Game two tested the group. A tight, high-speed matchup ended in a 5-4 loss after a close call late in the game. Instead of letting that moment turn us away from the championship. It was used as motivation heading into the next game.
Responding the Right Way
In our final round robin game, PK Elite responded with high intensity and a dominant 15-0 win, earning a spot in the championship final and preparing to take on the team that defeated us in Game 2.
Historic Finish
The championship game was competitive and had high intensity. PK Elite came out flying from the opening faceoff. They got an early 3-0 lead, with goalie Hayden Smale making 20 saves, keeping our team in the game. They ended up getting one back on a penalty shot. PK Elite played disciplined hockey and earned a 3-1 victory, securing the first tournament championship in PK Elite history!
Throughout the weekend, the team faced a lot of adversity and doubts that came with being such a new program. The players responded the only way that matters, and that was with high energy in games, ensuring that we are playing our way. This championship represents the beginning of PK Elite's journey. Built on development, resilience, and belief. December 22nd will forever be remembered as the day PK Elite set the standard.
